Siri Dyal the biography

rarely do we consider the bio to be so challenging...self reflection of the band Siri Dyal. so,  where do we begin? i asked people what they most would like to read in a biography... so one can see where  we have come from...and where we are aiming ta go ;)  well first, lets start with the name of the band,  then we can explore other portals.  Siri Dyal means simply Great Mercy and Compassion, it is the name of the band, which is comprised of , Siri D, Robert Taylor, Terance Ervan, Wes Claggett, Ali Shayesteh, Nico - Le.   people ask hey what kind of music is that,  we like to say its fun, music sometimes shocking, heheh  hopefully , The tale is long,  but we can try to be as accurate to the history as possible.   

im not going to spend a long time on the music, because,  you can listen and experience why read about it?  it is our sound, what we do, as well as our evolution in sound is always fun,  we hope you enjoy  the music and are looking forward to the long awaited second release follow up to the indy sensation  We R Here"   

So the  band officially formed in 2002, in Dayton Ohio .  The journey getting there is  a whole story in itself...but the cd tells about the journey... the back story is exciting... but lets move forward here.... as  a band....  lets just say Claudia Kaleem aka Siri Dyal Kaur Khalsa.... came to go  o n a fantastic voyage...in the form of the band... where there is a mix of musical backgrounds...jazz, claudia kaleem the daughter of great jazz legend Vicky Hamilton, and Musa Kaleem... and grew up with Horace Tapscott, the father of her older brother Micheal.     her influences included prince, michael jackson, jimmy Hendrix, pat benetar, .... what in her cd collection?  everything.. u name it... its in there... from Mozart to Tupac.  chilli peppers, steve wonder, Queen, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, "music is great! in any Great form :) ..it has the ability to lift our spirits, it is in fact the soundtrack of our lives...   so we have some jazz, some rock probably some pop. Robert Taylor, hails from Chicago Ill. by way of Dayton Ohio  ,  a master musician, and song writer, with influences of  verdine white, stanley clarke, Larry Graham, bootsie collins, Rob reports he is grateful for the opportunity provided by a loving environment of his mother, who encouraged him from a very young age his first bass at the age of 2... he knew then...seven years later at nine...  he was sirius about it.   Bringing his masterful commanding style rhythmic,  catchy melodies, and the stanky stanky funk.   when Rob was offered the position in 2002 he knew Siri Dyal was his destiny"he couldnt pass up that opportunity ". 

The distinct sound Wes Brings to the sounds and site of the  band are definitely in fact,  distinct.  Wes's Influences include, Jimmy Hendrix, Brian Maye , jimmy page, all the vintage which is strange for his young age,  but these are the guitarist who inspired him to his choices, in his music to this day.  So, so far we have jazz, rock funk, vintage rock southern rock,  even a lil finger picking, ok maybe a lot,  because he is amazing at that,  this was the band in the early days before they would head out to seattle wa. to record their first full CD We R Here",   

The band would use a drum machine for shows in the early days, until, they were offered the opportunity to open up for Evanescence in early 2003,  the one condition to them playing was they had to have a live drummer... and they had to learn the show in 5 days... rock and roll baby..the show was awesome.   

This brings us to the next core member, Terance Ervan,  as the band continued to play with the drum  machine in Seattle,  the search began for the core drummer of Siri Dyal,  Seattle would prove to be the birthing place of their first full CD "We R Here" Volume 1    and so finally 2004 will prove to bring the band back to los Angeles ca,  to pay their dues ,  on the streets of LA . Playing with Guitarists, both, Wes Claggett, as well as Ali Shayesteh, bringing in Ali spicy middle eastern, influenced by Steve Vai,  a saz, a Ooud, he brings in a all new hue,  with his debut single coming out  on Vol. II   "Not a girl, but a woman in the world."and Row,  his influence will be evident in the evolution of the bands sound.   

Terance, came for an audition early 2004 ,  that was it... it was instant chemistry with "TT"    he likes to call his brand fusion, bringing in so many elements with both drums, and percussion,  as well as he triggers the keys, and keyboards... he was the first and only core of our drummers...and it seems this is a  very great thing.    .. 

Nico-Le,  support Vocals, and all around good vibe bringer,  she came in, in late 2008...  she's a gem.  and  though sometimes we are three and sometimes we r 3, sometimes we are six,  no matter what,  we are always...Siri Dyal.   

The band had started up the follow up CD in 2009,  and is still continuing to carve this next experience for you and you and you for your listening and feeling pleasure,  to soothe,  share, well, to journey with.  Its been awesome so far,  so many twists and turns,  sometimes not knowing which way is up... or down...or for that matter......sideways. 

With the debut of the bands  first single and beautifully shot in red by production team Beyond Entertainment  and edited by Richie Mac, video for the single "I Dont Care." Siri Dyal's first major video,  for sale only on SiriDyal.com.  The video and single together are a banquet of lushness combined with raw edge,  "this video is a must see,  must have 

This is but the beginning  for the band Siri Dyal,  with Volume II getting ready to be released,  with surprise after surprise of pure musical loveliness to bring enjoyment to one and all !  A Biographical  full feature film to start production in early 2012 ,  here in "Three Fuchia Fire" the story will be finally told..  cuz man this one is a doozy.
